If someone quits, they might have a chance of fighting the cancer and have a bigger chance of living. Since smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer, its hard to quit after would find out that you have lung cancer. Researchers say that nicotine it the promoter to lung cancer, and if someone continues to smoke then the nicotine in the cigarettes can work against chemotherapy treatments.Janine Cataldo, a researcher said "For a smoker to have lung cancer and be unable to quit speaks to the power of nicotine addiction." If lung cancer patients continue to smoke then the effects may be, appetite loss, fatigue, couching up blood and pain or poor sleep. If anyone continues to smoke after they get the news they have lung cancer, it can effect anyone's life in a second. So don't continue, quit.
